For a house that is rented out I was not expecting the comfort or the high standards of the amenities. We used 3 out of the 4 bedrooms. They were all decently sized bedrooms. I had the master bedroom which had a huge bed, it was very spacious. It had an en suite which was lovely and it also had a walk in closet which was lovely to have. The carpet in the master bedroom was so soft.

Nice place. This is a private house located in driving distance from the nearest town. Hosts are very welcoming. We arrived at night and were granted a wide room with bathroom access. Breakfast was offered in the morning as well as beverages upon arrival. Parking slot is available for free. Good choice to stay here.

Margaret was very welcoming and friendly. She shared her knowledge of the area which was helpful in trying to find our ancestors. The house was spic and span, our beds were comfortable and the showers had plenty of hot water! We had a quick breakfast of breads, toast, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, tea and coffee. Hillgrove House met our expectations and we would certainly return.

Staying at the cabin for a night was a wonderful experience. The location is set in a beautiful natural area, close to the host’s accommodation, which made check-in very easy. The host was hospitable, welcoming us warmly and providing helpful information about the area and places worth visiting. The cabin itself is clean, cozy and warm - perfect for a restful night. We truly enjoyed waking up surrounded by nature before continuing our journey around the country. We would be happy to return one day and stay for longer.
