We visited Valetta by taxi as it was too windy for the ferry but it was really cheap. As soon as we got there we were grateful we were staying in Sliema which is much quieter and a bit more local. Alex the front office manager is an absolute superstar as is the security guard (who's name I've sadly forgotten).
