I could not recommend it enough, the best accommodation in Tunisia. We received a very warm welcome from the owners. They served us traditional food, which we ate on the terrace with great views over the canyon and mountains. Squeaky clean room, beautifully furnished and spacious. The region is very peaceful and clean, Toujane is a great choice for a "base" to make daytrips from, see the ksars, Sahara desert and even Tozeur (whole day of driving there and back but it's worth it).

Dar Ayed is another Tunisian gem when it comes to accommodation. Located in the middle of nowhere, it provides you with much needed distance from the hustle and bustle of the bigger cities. You are just a few minutes driving away from classic Star Wars filming locations and the accommodation itself fits well into the Berber surroundings. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was good and the rooms were cozy. A bonus: the stars in the sky were beautiful, since there is not that much light pollution around. The drive to the hotel is incredibly scenic.

The warm hospitality and exceptional meals make staying here an easy choice. We especially enjoyed dining with other guests. Despite the language barrier, we connected with the French ladies at our table, with host Patrick kindly translating. It was a delightful surprise to have such an authentic French experience in Tunisia. Writing in the guest book with ink for the first time made it even more special. Staying here is worth it for the dinner alone—the most delicious way to taste camel meat and dates!

Una casa grande, con estancias amplias. Tiene un espacio interior muy grande (patio-jardín) que rodea la casa. Tiene el menaje necesario para cocinar. Dispone de garaje propio, pero por no maniobrar lo dejamos en la calle, aparcado frente a la puerta. Es una zona tranquila, residencial. Nos comunicamos con el anfitrión por Whatsapp y nos entregó la llaves en mano. Tuvo el detalle de dejarnos sintonizada la tele con canales en castellano.
