The accommodation was very well clean, organised and well equipped. I wish I stayed there for a week so that I could make full use of the kitchen equipments and bathtub. The foldable doors were great as we could enjoy the private backyard in the mornings and evenings to get fresh air.

this is a great room . got a little area to relax, 2 double beds, laundry machine, small kitchen with equipment. I wish they can apply some simply stuff ( cooking oil/ salt / pepper ) something like that. got a projector in the room( we watched NBA with big screen which was amazing ) from check in until check out , didn't see any employees. they tell you the room number/ password to open the door the day before checkin . they have an iPad in the room to let you type the information (to check in) then will connect to the employee to double check. to check out just push a bottom, that's it. simple ! it's a great experience to stay with Rakuten.

The house was set back from the street but easy to find. Being set back it was very quiet. There was so much room we had a bedroom, dining room, full kitchen and then a laundry and bathroom. Would say this was the best place you could stay in Nikko without a doubt.

The house is big with many rooms and beds. It’s a bit old. The twin hot baths are in a separate room. We could not find the light and heater in that room. These twin hot baths cannot be used after 9:30pm. The time restriction limits the number of people who can enjoy it, especially if you have BBQ which has to be finished by 9pm. The place outside the house where you have BBQ is not well decorated.

This house was a dream. We really enjoyed our stay here; we were very sad when we had to leave! We felt like in a movie, it was truly amazing having the opportunity to stay in a traditional Japanese house. Some parts of the house could be in better shape, but it didn't affect our experience much. We do not recommend this house if you don't have a car. We had a bit of difficulty when first arriving at the house with our GPS, but we could finally make it work when we searched for a place near the house instead of for the house address itself. Very recommendable place, thank you truly for this amazing experience!

We loved the quiet and peaceful surrounding with a beautiful garden. The guest house is also great and provides everything you need. Ian gave us a lift from and to the train station, which really helped with heavy luggage. He also provided some breakfast provisions. All in all we were really happy.
