- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 66 reviewsWhere to start... this place is a gem. The location is incredibly rare and special. The sounds of the birds, bats and insect life are unique and it's just so lovely to fall asleep and wake up to. The walking trails, make sure you have enough light left in the day to not get lost! It's an adventure exploring all the tracks. My favourite track was the boardwalk that went along the creek. That blew my mind! How can something be so pretty! We enjoyed collecting the colourful fruits and pods on the forest floor. Never seen anything like them before. The rooms are basic but large and comfortable. The bathroom is squishy but we didn't mind. It's just a bathroom. The owners are so lovely. They brought us a microwave and plates etc so we could heat up the food we brought. They also have a BBQ and there's a fridge and kettle in the room. I wanted to stay there for longer. I've already told my friends to stay there and they have booked for July!Guest review byAmberAndMarkAustralia
- From US$85.60 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 586 reviewsWhat an outstanding place! This is a must stay spot for those who wish to blend with the Daintree forest/jungle and most importantly, prefer stay in more pristine nature. We also had a magic feeling when swimming at night in their wonderful pool with rainforest leaves above it and gazing at well visible stars. You hear so much around (especially at night) and may also see some lovely rainforest creatures that otherwise you would not spot. It was a dry period then, so we did not experience any mosquitos. They also serve wonderful food and the staff is fantastic. But this place may be not for those who prefer tiled/glassed/cushioned ambience or music/noise- better go elsewhere so not to spoil the tranquillity of this spot. We would definitely stay there again as it was one of most memorable stays during our full month trip in Australia.Guest review byzilvinasLithuania
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 73 reviewsBeautiful location surrounded by rainforest, fruit trees, and birds really immerses you in the wilderness experience. The cabin has ample space to spread out for a couple, enjoy the views and enjoy simple meals. The bed was comfortable and bathroom well equipped to clean up after hikes and snorkeling. We only prepared simple breakfasts, for which the facilities were perfect, but you'll need to plan ahead, bring more items and get creative for bigger meals. Meals on the veranda were so much fun. The unit was very clean considering its location and all the netting, windows, etc were very effective at keeping the bugs outside.Guest review byJosephCanada
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 52 reviewsDon’t be fooled by the term” farm “people. This wasn’t just accomodation, this is an experience at an incredibly high standard. Stunning tropical fruit farm in paradise. Amazing outdoor space for self catering and very comfy and well appointed interior. The team were very welcoming and explained all about the tropical fruit we were given upon arrival. The care and love they have for the environment is at the forefront of everthing they do. Honestly didn’t want to leave, what a privilege to stay there, we will be back 👌Guest review byCherylNew Zealand
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 118 reviewsWe loved it! This was our final stay in Australia and it was 150% worth it. The place is very remote, relaxed, peaceful and in the middle of the forest. If we only knew, we would have stayed longer. This is a little peace of heaven. Lilian is great! We loved her, such a nice, one of a kind lady and host. We hope to come back soon and stay longer. The bed was cosy, big large room, great patio surrounded by nature.Guest review byDanielaRomania

Cape Tribulation is an amazing, beautiful place.
Cape Tribulation is an amazing, beautiful place. You can walk along the long, beautiful beach with the ocean on one side and tropical rainforest on the other. When you walk back into the rainforest you are on a boardwalk which takes you through huge mangroves then through the tropical rainforest with a stunning variety of rainforest trees and other plants. You see lots of butterflies as well as birds, goannas and fruit bats. It is a place that fills you with awe.Guest review bySylviaAustralia - 10.0
Loved Daintree rainforest and cape tribulation.
Loved Daintree rainforest and cape tribulation. A must see if you are heading to Cairns, Palm Cove or Port.Douglas. It’s is a world heritage site. We did indigenous tour at Mossman gorge which was great. Beautiful tropical trees and fauna. Fresh healthy air. You must do it!Guest review byMichymoo2706Australia - 10.0
Beautiful location, stunning views.
Beautiful location, stunning views. We stayed in large spacious house close to the beach. We took all of our own food as there were excellent kitchen facilities. The beach is stunning. The Daintree area has lots to offer.Guest review byJody - 10.0
We love Mossman as a quick stay on our way to the Daintree.
We love Mossman as a quick stay on our way to the Daintree. The Woolies is great to re stock, we had pies from the lovely organic dough pie shop and were excited to be traveling through on a Saturday as Mossman markets are one of our favorites (and we’ve visited a few!)Guest review bykimAustralia - 10.0

I loved how it was close to the beach and very quiet and peaceful. With a little driving most attractions were close by or within half hour. Spending time in the Daintree was spectacular and I found most of the visitors were respectful of the tranquillity. Half an hour to Port Douglas for shopping or spending the day driving up to Cape Tribulation, river cruise, all great adventures.Guest review byKim - 10.0

Diwan is a one of the oldest parts of the Daintree Rainforest. Just beautiful !!! You need to catch the ferry over the river to get to the northern side to access this location. Need to be aware the cost to catch the ferry back and forth. Many things to do and see on the north side of the river to keep amused.Guest review byJustinAustralia - 10.0
A very unique cottage stay.
A very unique cottage stay. Private water-hole Creek for swimming. Crystal clear water. A wonderful place to escape for peace & quiet in a tranquil setting! Amos was a thoughtful and accommodating host! Fruit trees a plenty which, if in abundant and ready for harvest, you may be offered to help yourself to some fruit.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
Wonderful area with lots of natural attractions.
Wonderful area with lots of natural attractions. Highly recommended for nature lovers, hikers and anyone who wants to get away from it all. Getting away from it all includes not a whole lot of phone reception, so take a printed map. Limited groceries available so if you are self catering best to shop beforehand in Cairns or Mossman.Guest review byChristineNew Zealand - 10.0

The whole experience from the ferry ride, meandering along windy roads whilst taking in the magnificent tropical views to our destination was fascinating. The 2023 December cyclone caused chaos with the roads eroding & severely damaged, there are traffic management staff all the way with single lanes & traffic lights along cape tribulation road. Well worth a visit to support the local businesses & Heritage Lodge staff were amazing & our evening dinners were 5 star restaurantGuest review byDebraAustralia - 10.0
Mossman is actually closer to the Daintree and Cape...
Mossman is actually closer to the Daintree and Cape Tribulation than Port Douglas, but Port is a very short drive away to be able get to reef cruises and activities there. Mossman is the old town, still with elements of 'country', check out the Exchange Hotel (there is a Woolworths on the edge of town - I wish they'd hide it behind large trees) and a regular market every Saturday (10.00 am - 1.00 pm) in the historic church grounds. It is not overwhelmed by tourism, but the surrounding areas have B&B and accommodation options. Mossman Gorge is an amazing upland rainforest experience. You get one of the mini-busses from the Visitor Info Centre (every 15 mins until 5.30 pm) This takes you to the walking trail. The first part is boardwalk, then an easy bush trail in a circuit. The forest is spectacular, very relaxing to see & hear the water of the Mossman River. Sit on the seating or a rock near the trail and wonder at the profusion of life that fills every space. TIP: Take a towel & wear swimmers, as there is a rock pool about 2/3 of or the way along the bush trail with clear fresh water, safe to wade & cool off in.Guest review byBruceAustralia
