I had an amazing experience staying at Gare 55 Hotel and highly recommend it to anyone. The hospitality was excellent, they highly care about your comfortable stay. The rooms are clean, modern design and easily self-access. Located in a calm area, it offers a peaceful retreat while still being conveniently located. The breakfast is excellent and everything is fresh. Overall, Gare 55 provided an outstanding experience, and I would definitely stay here again.

    The place is very beautiful. In a small town very close to Ghent. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and the communication with them was nice and smooth. The room was an apartment and was stunning, they gave me also a room upgrade which I appreciated very much. Very clean, bright, the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was also great and they were very attentive in preparing it. I couldn't try the restaurant since I had a busy work schedule, but it looked amazing too . Wonderful stay

    What an amazing place oozing history. It was like staying in a chateau. We had a problem with our van and Bart tried his best to find a garage but as it was a national holiday nothing was open. The bed was very comfy and the breakfast was comprehensive with top quality foods. We would give it 11 if we could. If you want the ultimate chateau experience at a reasonable price then this is most definitely for you. Thank you so much Bart for being such a great host. Nick & Sally

    Lovely little town and absolutely amazing b&b place. Very friendly owner, everything worked smoothly and well. Definitely a place to visit again! The bed was one of the best I’ve ever slept in: so wide and adjusted to one’s bodyweight, big cosy pillows and super clean and soft sheets. Free parking. People in the town were super friendly as well. Dog park next door. The whole place was like from a fairy tail, absolutely amazing!!

    We traveled by car and due to a technical fault, we arrived at dawn the next day instead of the evening arrival time. The Host was extremely tolerant and empathetic with me and my deeply tired Colleagues. The extremely comfortable bed and the delicious breakfast helped us a lot to regenerate after a few hours of sleep. A very pleasant place, I recommend it to all travelers!

Heidi and Filip were extremly friendly and did everything to make their guest happy! Breakfast was organic and amazing! Highly recommend it for a horselover person or family!

    Anita and bruno are very nice and helpful. The room has all the amenities as well as a separate private bathroom. All very confortable and clean. The breakfast is perfect. They adapt it as well for you The location is perfect to visit Brugge and Gent and not far away from Brussels or Antwerp.

    Didn't see much of town as I was involved elsewhere, but it had some bistros and restaurants. It was a clean and tidy place, parking was good near the hotel. A good base to tour north-west Belgium. Very close to main roads.

    Maldegem has all that you really need, nice restaurants, A la Carte and Fast food, supermarkets, petrol stations as well. Not much in the way of shopping that we could see but probably just didn't find them!

    Evergem was a great spot outside of the city.

    Evergem was a great spot outside of the city. It avoids parking/ charges for cars which are in place. We walked to a local restaurant, La Bussola, and would recommend. The food was superb; really great mommas Italian style cooking and very reasonable value too. Our children really enjoyed. Brielken tram stop is free to park and just a 20 minute ride to the Castle in the centre (€3 per ride or bulk buy tram rides/City Card includes tram for free) From Sept 2025 this route from Brielken into the city will be closed for renovation but buses can be caught/drive to another tram line.
