The inside is decorated with ancient China furniture et decor with a traditional touch. The personnel is nice, accommodating and very friendly. Family owned.     Richard and his staffs are amazing. The view from our rooms (pool and lily pond facing) is lovely. Even though there are no lilies in the pond as it is winter, the mountain view from our rooms is just magnificent! We enjoyed the relaxing and informative hourlong complimentary tea appreciation session --- came complete with fruits and snacks :). The hotel provides good choices of complimentary breakfast sets, ranging from local 桂林米粉 to toasts and waffles. Dinner is tasty and reasonably priced. Richard is very accommodating, allowing us to use the restaurant to play our boardgames after dinner, serving us complimentary free flow tea throughout our game and even help us cut fruits. Even though the hotel is not in the heart of city, it is very convenient to travel to city (cab ride is only ~US$2 to the city). We actually like the fact that it is not located in the city as it is more relaxing and the view is better. The hotel is right across a nice cafe, 5 mins walk from a strawberry picking farm and walking distance to bamboo rafting jetty. The hotel also provide scooter rental. Tea Cozy Hotel staffs give very good sightseeing and activities advices and helped us book the paid ones at a discount. I like the fact that they do not push sale on paid activities, instead they would actually advised us to do free sightseeing (amazing ones like the 3 bridges) that are more suitable for the weather. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Tea Cozy Hotel.

    This is a fabulous hotel. Room was large with a full wall of window. Great amenities. The pool and spa area offer a steam bath and sauna. The gym was a bit dated but still functional. I don't eat much of a breakfast so I didn't feel the cost was worth it. Bar area was nice and the large atrium is impressive. The concierge managed a Li river trip with return that was perfect and priced below any other 4 star cruise with a private driver who spoke English.

    Beautiful property with lots of details with cultural reference, magnificent view of the mountains from our room (5th floor family room) and from balcony. Super friendly and helpful staff who helped book show tickets and places to visit. Definitely rent a scooter which make the trip even more authentic, and also Yangshuo is pretty congested and impossible to get a taxi or you stay in traffic in peak touristic season.

    The setting is perfect, overlooking the river and nestled below karst mountains. Walking and riding bikes along the river straight from the hotel parking lot was a bonus. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. It felt so homey and comfortable - we loved it. We appreciated the ecological mindset and practices. The fire in the lounge was a blessing after a night out at Impressions LiuSanJie!

    Guilin's natural beauty is unquestionable, but the city has to upgrade its facilities such as free wi-fi covering main transportation entries in the city. It is a city with rich cultural and historical heritage, but we cannot see much of the cultural activities. There is a grand building( theatre) beside the Jiefang bridge, which costs 100 million RMB to build, is empty. The public transportation has no electrical display of stops. The recording is difficult to hear and understand.

    The view is superb!

    The view is superb! I have never seen anything like this in my life. The locals are kind and ready to help. Very safe to travel by family or alone. It's best to spend a week there and explore the region by renting a local electric scooter . But some point of interests are far apart and required to travel by boat so if you can't be bothered, make sure to have your local tour guide to help.

    UNESCO site. Beautiful landscapes. wear proper hiking waterproof shoes. Raincoat for rainy days in March. plan to spend at least 2 nights. book rides with the Hotel to facilitate the arrival process...visitors have to pay entrance fee to the Ping On village. there is a ticket office and security gate for this purpose. travel light and enjoy its natural beauty.

    Nanning is a beautiful city.

    Nanning is a beautiful city. We enjoyed an evening exploring the streets around the hotel even though there were quite a large roadwork project going on. We only spent one full day in the city to fit in at the end of our 15 day visa free viit to China. Qinxiushan scenic area is quite stunning and a beauitiful place requiring a full day to fully appreciate. There is a lot more to see in and around Nanning so we may need to return one day!

    Something important to mention is that the map location on booking.com didn't correspond with the actual location of the hotel I stayed in! so this is something to double check and rectify! Beihai old town was fantastic and shopping for pearls and eating out was wonderful-there are beautiful souvenirs, great food and architecture and it is the best place to buy pearls (bracelets, rings, necklaces, broaches etc...) A trip to the nearby Weizhou island is quite the treat but the actual beaches in Beihai seem to get way too/ridiculously crowded in the Summer and seem to be in a state of development with lots of construction taking place next to them!

    Beautiful, underrated, I should have stayed one more night. It was very easy to get around and the entire village at Ping'an has English and Chinese signage all on farming/hiking trails. I can't believe how empty the village is and part of me is concerned that not enough tourists are visiting even though I loved the serenity of it. Many stores/hotels were empty or closed, perhaps due to COVID-19.

    It’s the provincial capital of Guangxi Autonomous Region so there’s a lot economic and social activity going around. Lots of entertainment venues and good infrastructure and transportation services to navigate around the city. Just remember to keep some loose change if you’re taking the bus since the phone payment systems only work for Chinese citizens.

    Lao Dongjiang rice noodles are very close, highly recommended, they have local flavors that locals like to eat. This street is a street I visited, Shijiayuan Road, there are many snacks, etc. Opposite the hotel is Elephant Trunk Hill, Two Rivers and Four Lakes, which is very suitable for walking and taking pictures. It is beautiful during the day and even more beautiful at night.
