Simply said, this accommodation was excellent and over our expectations. The old house is fully renovated since 2020. Our room, restaurant and whole hotel was very cozy and nice. We would like to point out great menu and food served for a dinner. Also wine list with good selection of wine was appreciated. However, the atmosphere would not be so great without very nice and helpful staff. We loved informal chats with the staff after dinner or at the breakfast. Finally, we really enjoyed our stay there.

The room was really spacious and well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. We had a late arrival, and after we contacted the hotel, they provided us with an easy instructions to perform a self check-in. Breakfast was really good. Really nice surroundings, with sport facilities, swimming pool and river, island and lake nearby.

Upon arrival we were greeted in a very hospitable manner. We ordered some local fantastic Czech cuisine and a couple of drinks, whilst we were eating the gentleman asked if we would like to check in early, which was greatly appreciated. The hotal is easy to find and quiet close to motorway, perfect for long journeys and walking biking holidays. The views are very nice and the vibe is relaxed yet very professional. Really cannot speak highly enough of this place and the staff. Thanks so much.

Everything was so beautiful that we felt like we were at a resort. The restaurant team was extremely accommodating and friendly also(especially Vali). The food was also excellent. And there is a nice playground for the children. We will stay here again in the future.

    The city itself is not exceptional but offers a good base for people who want to visit the surrounding area (Bohemian Switzerland in Czech Republic, Saxon Switzerland in Germany). Less crowded and more affordable than e.g. Bad Schandau on the other side of the border.

    A great launching pad for walking in the area.

    A great launching pad for walking in the area. Hřensko itself is fairly basic, but with a few decent restaurants serving local dishes. Plenty of tat to buy on street stalls too if you want presumably knock-off Nike hoodies, watches where the hands fall off or a wide selection of butterfly knives. It's a base for hiking, not a place you would visit in itself. Access is easy by train and a 1 minute ferry trip across the Elbe. Schmilka is just 20 minutes walk away.

    Industrial town near the German border with beautiful, forested hills and rock formations by the river Elbe - charming with many historic buildings, but a bit rough around the edges thanks to remnants of communist-era architecture and some run-down former factory grounds.

    Teplice (pronounced Teplitsa) is a spa town, with a small area of historic buildings in the centre. It is well served by trolleybuses and buses to all areas. Pivovar Monopol is a large brewpub in the main street, with at least four of its own beers on tap - lovely!

    Charming medieval Bohemian city, out of the way of most tourists. Do not miss the Gothic exhibition in the Galerie umění, featuring the altarpieces by the Master of Litoměřice. I would recommend 2 days - one for Litoměříce, and one for Terezín/Theresianstadt, just 3km away. We can recommend the excellent pizzas at Gurmánie and the designer chocolates at Bouda's.

    Most is in general a nice place, they have a hockey hall, a lake worth visiting, especially in summer, there is a racing track and a castle. Food as in general for Czech republic is great, I would recommend Irish pub and their famous pork knuckle and tartar. In Most, you mostly walk around the city, for visiting racetrack and lake you can use a taxi as there are plenty, the only problem is, that Most taxi drivers only speak Czech language but a bit of google translate does the job.

    The area was beautiful. If you like history, the second world war has a poignant focus in the sudentland, abanadined villages, atrocities, resistance. Natiral lakes for swimming. Just over an hour from Prague!

    Really liked the area, the location of the hotel.

    Really liked the area, the location of the hotel. Hospitality was fine but some things were really amateuristic or even unprofessional, like very bad English and / or German speaking staff. The restaurant is an absolute no go. A home made version of mint tea seems to be a tea bag in hot water and home made fries come from the freezer. Very old fashioned, very limited choices, absolutely nothing available without meat.

    Hrensko is beautifully placed village, destroyed by selling stands with all kind of "garbage". I do understand that this is city on the border (CZ-DE) so "overboarder trade" is local business, however either those kind of stalls should be placed outside of the walking center (e.g. on the river bank on the way to the border), or it should be nicely designed, not to destroy the beauty of the village. When you walk thru the center - you do not feel like you are in the picturesque mountain village, rather you feel like in a middle of bazaar.

    Ústí have a really negative reputation amongst the Czech...

    Ústí have a really negative reputation amongst the Czech cities. But its not all bad. Interesting architecture, where few ancient buildings like churches and similar, exists among the remembrances of the comunist and post-comunist Brutalism. You should check Castle, Masaryk ship Locks, Větruše and old Church bombarded in WW2. If you like coffee visit C´UP coffee.
