Silence, peace, host, food, birdsong. Everything in the best order. If we come to Luxor again we will only stay here.

New Memnon Hotel is a delightful little oasis among the almost desert landscape on the West Bank of the Nile. It is pure luxury while feeling homely at the same time. It is run by Mr. Sayed or Sayed Uncle as we called him and his wonderful family who are usually at the property. I can keep writing about them and it would not do justice to how amazing this place is. The views are gorgeous - during hot air-balloon season, you can see the balloons from the garden landing around, your balcony or from the restaurant. You can see the lit-up Necropolis in the evenings/nights, stunning sunsets every evening or take a walk to the Valley of Queens, Valley of workers, Tombs of Roy and Shuroy during the day and Colossi of Memnon in the evening - which is a stone's throw away. Now coming to the staff - every single person on the property treats you like family. Sayed Uncle and his family are amazing hosts, they will pamper you, shower you with love and make sure you have the absolute best memories here. They have an amazing garden for your breakfasts or evening tea, linens that smell warm and divine, a cat called Silk who is a cutie and loves her cuddles, a million cute sparrows chirping, a woodpecker visiting every day and a beautiful garden that is abundant with basil, arugula, broccoli, oranges, lemons and so much more - all of which Sayed Uncle, his son or his wife would be very happy to show you. We reached really late at night and were welcomed by Sayed Uncle waiting for us by a bonfire asking, "Are you hungry? I've got dinner waiting for you" - believe me, you have not really experienced the love of Luxor and all this beautiful city has to offer unless you have spent time at the New Memnon Hotel. They will also help you plan your itinerary - whether it's a car you need, a felucca, a ferry ride, hot-air-balloon, to buy a cartouche or simply walk around town.

The hotel is truly luxurious, with a stunning modern design that perfectly blends elegance and comfort. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished with high-end, contemporary decor that makes you feel completely at ease and pampered. The staff were incredibly professional, warm, and attentive—always smiling and ready to help with anything. I felt genuinely welcomed and well taken care of throughout my stay. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, and the views from the room are simply breathtaking. Honestly, the whole experience made me feel like royalty staying in a real palace. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay in the heart of Luxor.

Apartment was very nice and clean rooms and location was perfect near Medinet Habu Temple which was one of the nicest from Egypt and fine restaurant within few meters walk. Perfect breakfast and beer in fridge 😄

Excellent choise for people who like to stay away from the noise of the city in the evening. Great view overlooking Habu temple, a genuine highlight on the west bank neglected by the big travel companies. Great night sky. Even dinner served in house on demand. Very kind reception by the hosts. Hotel frequented by archeologists.

What a truly special place! Out of all the places we ever visited this is in our top 3, easily. Beautifully decorated, cosy and simply enjoyable. The owners are very hepful and created an island of peace in an otherwise trying Egyptian environment. Would not hesitate to come back again.

Karima guest house has been amazing. We have found in this place everything we were looking for. It is a super clean place, well decorated and the best is the people. The team that works here is super super nice. Once you arrive, they take care of you as it was your family. The generosity of this people is amazing. May God protect this place because you really feel home. I will come back for sure! If you are looking for a well located, calm and super clean place you must book a room in this amazing gem.
