The location of the hotel is excellent. Very safe and right next to the main station. Was very convenient for the day trips that we took. All the sights in Lyon are within a 30 minute easy walking distance. The room are modern and very well designed. The best part was the breakfast and the cheerful staff at the restaurant. Overall a superb experience.

We had a really nice stay with a beautiful view of mountains and greenery around! Staff at the hotel and restaurant were really friendly to us and to our dog. The spa was a great touch during our long hours drive from France to Germany. We hope to come back again to discover the nature around the area in the future. This place has views unlike any other hotel! It was one of the most lovely and whimsical places I’ve ever stayed. Behind the hotel is a beautiful mountain which seems to always have paragliding happening. The other side is the beautiful lake where you can sit on chairs right next to the water while you eat and drink wine. The character and history of the building was beautiful. The staff was excellent, especially the waiters and waitresses. I am vegan and my boyfriend vegetarian, they were more than happy to make us amazing meals! There is a plant based menu for dinner as well which we were so happy to see. The food is wonderful and beautifully presented. They have a nice parking lot for people who drive there and have bikes you can rent which I highly recommend. We will definitely try to return soon!

The room was spacious, with a view of Mont Blanc wayyy in the distance. The grounds of the chateau are absolutely gorgeous. And the aquasens spa was a great way to spend a nice morning, which my husband and I loved. I messaged the staff my questions about booking spa time and wine tours, and they were very responsive and friendly. The amenities are the best part. 10/10 stay and if we lived closer, we'd definitely would be back!

There's plenty to see and do in Lyons even if the weather is...

There's plenty to see and do in Lyons even if the weather is poor (which, unfortunately, it was). We got Lyon cards for 72 hours which made entry into everywhere and all travel free and simple. The whole of La Presqu'ile peninsular from Place Carnot in the south to Croix Rousse in the north is full of interest (museums, galleries, cafes, traboules), and I particularly enjoyed the Old Town with Cathedral, Fourviere Basilica, the Roman remains, and the many steep steps and viewpoints. Beyond this we visited two excellent museums, the Musee des Confluences and the Lumiere museum.

Our stay was for 3 days in October.

Our stay was for 3 days in October. Unfortunately in October attractions including most cable cars and the Mer de Glace are closed. But our visit to the Aiguille du Midi made our stay - we had great weather and the views from the Aiguille were amazing! Chamonix is a beautiful town. We enjoyed seeing Mont Blanc up-close. We enjoyed our hikes in the mountains near Chamonix.

We really enjoyed Grenoble.

We really enjoyed Grenoble. It is a nice friendly city with good transport. We visited the art gallery and the cable car. The scenery is stunning. We were only there two days but with more time would have ventured out of the city into the countryside. We would recommend the Belle Idée restaurant. After Grenoble we went to Aix. The first part of our journey was on a beautiful little train from Grenoble towards Gap. This went through the Alps and this journey was amazing. Well worth doing.

To be honest, Valence is an ugly city.

To be honest, Valence is an ugly city. The Rhone flows through it but alas large motorways beside it. The centre is a bit run down. If you are on your way and are near it, you can visit the centre and have something to eat. There is a nice park near the river.

I made 3 separate booking .You have to buy your own Toilet paper .room cleaning is extra charge .If I booked 3 times in separate occasions they must be doing the bed and give the cleaned room to me no matter its same room . I paid full price .There was a bug at the window and Room220 is right at the road where Tram runs 24 hours almost .Christina is very rude so be firm with her .The rest of girls are really nice and speaks some English.Christina does not know English at all .She should not be working at a hotel where mostly Foreigners stays .

Interesting town with cultural heritage. I was just passing through en route from Italy to London but it is a perfect stopover for one night. Unfortunately I was there on a Monday, when some attractions eg the castle are closed but I did visit the cathedral. There are many restaurants which sell local produce.

Beautiful, and very easy to move around via transports. There are tons of things to do like visiting the park and most of them are free or rather cheap. It is overall a great city without that turist pressure everywhere!

Aix-les-Bains is a very pleasant town on the shores of the biggest lake in France: Lake Bouget. There are lots of restaurants and places to visit including a Casino, mountains and water sports. If you can, we recommend you try the boat cruse around the lake and include a meal on board.
