The room with a private bathtub was the best choice for relaxing and couple celebrations. Also, the spa and swimming were available and cosy.

I have to mention Charlie, he is seriously the funniest person I have ever met in the UK. The hot tub should be the biggest feature of this hotel. My wife and I enjoyed it for three whole days and were very satisfied. The price/performance ratio is very good. The hotel is located in the middle of the two towns of Bowness and Windermere, and it is very convenient to walk to both towns. In any case, I will definitely recommend this hotel next time I come to the Lake District, or if my friends want to travel to the Lake District.

There’s wonderful food options- I had the afternoon tea and a charcuterie board and both were amazing. The staff were so helpful and it felt like a family stay away from home. I have already recommended this property to my friends.

Everything was fabulous. The room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The food was delicious in the restaurant- we were a party of 11, everyone had something different and everyone commented on how much they enjoyed the meal. Breakfast was delicious too! All the staff were polite, friendly and helpful. The pool area was clean, modern and relaxing.
We all had a fantastic time and will definitely be returning.
Thanks to all the team at the Windermere Manor hotel.

We liked the view of the lake from our room🫡 😍The food and the spa was awesome. Service from staff was on point particularly Ewan who served first when we had our first spa session Friday and latter during breakfast and dinner on Saturday

The staff was very nice and helpful! - we accidently booked two different rooms for two individual nights, and they solved it easily and organized everything we needed (including a crib).
The breakfast was good and the view from the tables was beautiful.
There is free parking.

The scenery from virtually any window was superb. The bedroom was comfortable and warm. The staff were friendly and courteous. Breakfast was included which is a bonus. Food and drink available in the pub.

The area was mostly fine.
The area was mostly fine. In some areas the town was looking tired. Absence of any visible street cleaning. We must have passed an area where someone had let their dog foul the pavement at least eight times as we walked up and down to our guest house and back down towards the lake
I know it’s individual dog owners where the responsibility lies but even so it’s a big tourist area
So one would expect a bit more pride in the area
Unfortunately we won’t be rushing back to visit

The proximity to get around the lakes, good transfer links by bus and boat to see around the lakes, if you didn’t want to travel by car. The views were amazing. There are many excellent pubs and restaurants with friendly atmosphere.

There is plenty to see in Ambleside with an excellent range of shops and places to eat. There was lots of live music over the weekend. We saw a fantastic jazz band at Zeffireli's. Our biggest disappointment was Hill Top - make sure you book in advance otherwise they won't let you park in the carpark and visit the property.

We used the car ferry as a passenger was cheaper than the other small boats . The mountain goat buses were great aswell. Would recommend to book your evening meals at pubs in advance to your stay aswell.

Easy walking area from the hamlet and access to more challenging walking not far away. Away from the tourist traps of the Lake District.
Would recommend eating at The Hare and Hounds for upmarket gastro pub food. The Masons Arms also serves good pub food. The Punchbowl at Crosthwaite is a 10 min drive away and is a very good restaurant

Excellent location for the frequent Lakeland buses which meant we could bus to one place, walk over the hills or catch a boat, and catch a different bus back. No parking worries.

Fantastic stay as a last minute decision for our family of 5 and the dog.
Friendly welcome and freshly cleaned pod on arrival.
Spacious enough for us all - even my 6ft4 husband slept well.
Pods heated up quickly and held the heat nicely through the night.
Toilets and showers were clean and had hooks on the doors for keeping clothes dry etc.
We didn’t use the kitchen area but it was clean and spacious.
Games room had plenty of seating and a table tennis table but no rackets or ball unfortunately.
The campfire area was loved by our children in the evening.
Enough parking space and close to lots of local walks and experiences.
There were bikes on site that could be hired which would be a great family activity but I’m not sure on the pricing.
