We loved the renovation of this original mansion in Hydra. Our room was very nice with lovely views of the village. Our stay was made even more comfortable and enjoyable by Nefele on front desk who was really personable and professional. Nefele made us feel special. Overall a great stay in Hydra and highly recommend.

Friendly attentive staff. Had thought of little extra details that make a stay feel special. Terms were clean, modern and well equipped. Boat taxi between the bay and Hydra ran late and often. Overall couldn’t recommend this place more for a relaxing holiday!

very friendly and nice welcome. easy check in and check out. room very nice, modern but with style! some stairs up in village. nice bathroom and balcony. has real flair! breakfast is organized at Harbour bar and restaurant, very nice with fresh pressed juice. we will come back.

This property is amazing! A beautiful, refurbished home located 5-7mins from the port. Our host Alcyoni was very warm and accommodating. They provided water bottles and coffee capsules. My friend and I had a relaxing and cozy weekend stay here and in the island.

Location was incredible, right on the port, we had the most amazing view on the balcony. The accommodation was so spacious and well equipped. The best place I stayed on my Europe trip. A little pricier than I paid elsewhere but well worth it.

The hotel is very close to the center, excellent in terms of price and performance, Dimitri is a great person, he answered all my questions immediately and sincerely before going to the island. He was always helpful during my stay. There is no breakfast, lunch or dinner at the hotel, but this was no problem, there are bakeries and restaurants nearby. Thank you very much Dimitri.

I liked the staff they were super friendly like a family Hotel was small and quiet and minimal Breakfast was perfect Rooms were great could do with a few more touches ie a stool and table to do hair and make up one reaches an age where one needs to sit and not stand

Ippokampos is a charming hotel with a vintage feel. The rooms were very comfortable and so were the beds. And as Hydra is a steep hillside little island, coming off the ferry and getting to the hotel was a short flat walk, not far at all. We loved our stay there. :)

Everything about this hotel was perfect! From Check in to Breakfast, to our GORGEOUS room. Yiannis was an excellent host, and all the staff we encountered were lovely. There's even a cute Tortoise in the garden! Would stay here again without question. 10/10

Nice to visit for a few days and enjoy walking about and meeting cats. Walk a little bit down from the harbour for maybe one hour and there is a good pebble beach. Make sure you do the walk up to the Prophet Elias monastery and bring some Euros for their small gift shop

Mandraki was a hidden gem of a place, only a 20-minute walk along the coast from Hydra Town, but away from all the hustle and bustle and with its own little beach and taverna - everything you could possibly need for a deeply relaxing holiday.

Hydra is an exceptional island, some people return, someone disappointed, it is not for everyone, no elevators, lots of stairs everywhere, climbing, everything on a hill, rocky beaches and far from the center, you will walk many kilometers, do not expect a classic holiday destination with long sandy beaches. Unfortunately, there are too many cats in the city, with excrement everywhere on the streets, a foul smell, and huge numbers of flies. It's a shame that the city doesn't take better care of itself.

Hydra is beautiful. No cars no scooters.

Hydra is beautiful. No cars no scooters. If unable to carry your luggage over all the cobblestones a donkey will. If bored and not swimming weather, watch the activity at the port. Many ships anchor out or smaller ones come in. Beautiful shops and lovely places to eat.
