I loved this place and having nothing but good things to say about it! We stayed here in November and so the price was a great value for what we got which included a steam room in the shower and a jacuzzi on the balcony. The hotel was very clean and the service was amazing. The hotel manager was so helpful and friendly and even drove us to the airport when our taxi didn’t show up. Would definitely recommend this place!

Amazing brand new hotel with great view from the terraces, even sunset and sunrise views directly from the hotel. Beautiful pool, beautifully arranged rooms with attention to details, vintage furniture. The team of the hotel is very kind and attentive to every guest! The accommodation was very clean, had A/C, comfortable bed, good hot shower, netflix, kitchen and living room, nice terrace,and situated down a quiet road , with a small supermarket at the top of it with all essentials you may need. A excellent location for all the restaurants, and 5 minute walk to the main bus station which services all. of Santorini also 13 minutes from the airport. Katerina the host, was available by phone and whats app for anything we needed and answered us very promptly, also we had a late flight, and she allowed us to stay much later than the checkout time , which enabled us to enjoy our last day! We really enjoyed our stay in Santozen Suites, and would definitely stay again, when we come back to Fira.

Property was super clean and comfortable. Location was brilliant, a little noisy at night but to be expected being so central and the hotel do provide you with ear plugs.     I stayed 3 nights and managed to do quite a lot, however, I think 1-2 extra days is required to see all there is to offer. I never managed to get to Red Beach which I think I could have managed if I’d stayed one extra night.

    We loved staying in Oia, mid October had perfect weather! The crowds were not too bad expect for when the cruise ships came in, we avoided the town from 10am to around 1:00pm, evenings during the sunsets it gets crowded but it worth it to watch the sun go down, the sky lights up and is so beautiful, you can't miss it. Schedule a catamaran or private boat cruise, we highly recommend getting on the water to see it from the sea. Great shops and restaurants, you have to have the gelato at Lolita's, it's the best I've ever had!

    We found it a great location, as it was quiet and had some of the best views of the island. We were still close enough to Fira to visit on foot, and there were good transport links to get elsewhere as well. Plenty of good and varied restaurants, some of which were real gems

    Lovely village but getting very busy.

    Lovely village but getting very busy. Restaurants were excellent and staff in them very polite and attentive. Greece is not cheap these days so you have to pay the same as in UK for meals etc. Wine is very expensive but nice to see that they only sell Greek wine in supermarkets and restaurants.

    Liked that it was away from Fira. Fira so crowded. One day 6 cruise ships in Port. We ate 2 nights at Romantica taverna. Traditional Greek restaurant, good food and happy staff. Easy to walk around in you don't mind stairs and uphill. Walk from Fira to Oia 10km, something to do and overview of area.

    the views - night and day were great, The people are really friendly and the food.... fantastic! the protion sizes are huge, they really like to feed you! good quality food too. Favourite restaurants Nouassa No Name Bechemal Easy to get around Santorini - use the local buses from the main bus station. There is a bus timetable for all of the services. the signage on the buses isn't always clear, but you just ask the bus driver or ticket conductors. You will need change for the buses - most journeys are 2 euros. they only take cash. You will do alot of walking - comfy shoes are a must and there are alot of steps too.....this may impact anyone with joint issues. Akrotiri - great place to visit - you can also take a boat ride around to red beach. Local homemade lemonade is the best - served in quite a few cafes Mythos beer is a good beer Thira and Oia get quite busy when the cruise ships dock.

    On arrival it is confusing - hotel is built on upper slopes...

    On arrival it is confusing - hotel is built on upper slopes of caldera, so it has different levels. On the plus side as soon as you leave the hotel you are on the famous Fira/Oia walk - turn right for Fira. You are on the highest part of the caldera so initially it is downhill, also you are close to Skaros rock which is worth visiting for the views and has a church partially hidden on the seaward side at a slightly lower elevation. As long as you can look to the sea you will have great sunset views wherever you are,my hotel patio was great for this.

    Akrotiri is a beautiful town.

    Akrotiri is a beautiful town. I definitely recommend visiting the Akrotiri archaeological site, but the entrance fee of 20 euros is honestly way too expensive. The White Beach and Red Beach are nice, but not really our thing because they’re overcrowded. We preferred finding some quieter beaches instead

    Firostefani was a good choice of Santorini location for me.

    Firostefani was a good choice of Santorini location for me. Even at the end of the season, the main town of Fira was overcrowded with cruise ship visitors every day, and had some very high prices in the shops and restaurants. Firostefani is only a mile from Fira centre with good communications but is less crowded and (slightly) less expensive. There are plenty of restaurants in Firostefani, the two I liked best were Onar and Aktaion. Also there was a good, reasonably priced take-away called Why Not. Firostefani (and many areas of Santorini) has small mini-markets but no good supermarket. Anyone self-catering would find food shopping expensive and with limited choices. My hotel (Villa Ilias) like many others in Firostefani had spectacular views over the caldera.
