- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 65 reviewsEverything! The serene location, the ruins of the castle that were preserved, the original antique furniture, the blazing fire in the fireplace, the majestic wallpapers, the hallway with renessaince paintings, the mysterious fog on the fields and I could go on… all this made sure we had a timeless and unique once in a lifetime experience spending our 4th anniversary in an actual Castle!!! We spent a night there solving a detective game and had an absolute blast! The ambient was just perfect and we left with memories that we will cherish forever! Also, I want to say thank you to our wonderful Host Sean who was available via email and answered all my questions within minutes. He greated us in person and was very friendly explaining us a few things. We thank you again for creating such an unparalleled experience sharing the Castle with the public and for keeping such good care of it!Guest review byGeorginaHungary

The staff were very friendly especially the reception staff and the leisure centre staff. The pool area is very clean, and a great size. My kids had loads of fun. Breakfast was really good, with a lovely selection. The waffles were excellent and a real treat for the kids, they loved the self service waffle station. Breakfast staff were also very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay of three nights, and found the location suited us perfectly.Guest review bykathrynIreland

Food was amazing, and local fish and mussels. It is lovely sitting in the outside area by the fountain ⛲️. Staff were very professional and couldn't do enough for you. Stephen, the manager, was so great and really knew his stuff about food and drink. The swimming pool was lovely, ice bath, sauna steam room, and jacuzzi. Perfect, stop to catch our early ferry 20 minutes away. Definitely be back to stay here.Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom

There were lots of places to visit in the Wexford area.
There were lots of places to visit in the Wexford area. Johnstone Castle well worth a visit with very imformative and friendly guide. Hook Lighthouse also well worth a visit with an amazing, characterful guide. The Irish National Heritage Park a great place to learn about early Ireland and has picturesque lake and Our Lady Ireland very pretty with lovely church. Lunch at The Dock Rosslare delicious and huge portions.Guest review byDianeUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Once a ferryport devoid of any real amenities apart from a hotel, Rosslare now boasts several bewer hotels, a fantadtic fish and chip shop, a restaurant-bar, a Pizza cafe, a supermarket and a post office. The village if Kilrane is a short walk away where you'll find two bars that serve food.Guest review byJOHNUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Quaint and picturesque town on the pleasant river Slaney steeped in Irish History. Enniscorthy was the scene of the 1798 rebellion where the united Irishmen took their last stand on the summit of Vinegar hill overlooking the town. The Castle and the 1798 visitors centre are worth a visit if you are interested in history as is the Father Murphy centre at Boolavogue. Nice beaches close by, greyhound racing, and traditional Irish pubs which are good for a sing song! Enjoy!Guest review bySEANUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Medium sized Irish town sitting on the river Barrow.
Medium sized Irish town sitting on the river Barrow. Quiet on a Sunday but still worth a visit. Main tourist attractions are the Dunbrody Famine Ship where actors role playing as emigrants interact with visitors during a tour of the ship, the Ross Tapestry (note: not open Sunday or Monday), the Norman walking trail that details the origin of New Ross (some small hills to be tackled) and the nearby Kennedy Homestead and John F. Kennedy Arboretum (both to the south of New Ross). Plenty more to see and do in the area, particularly Tintern Abbey and the Colclough Walled Garden (best visited in the autumn when the many apple tress are fully laden).Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
The cleanliness is superb.
The cleanliness is superb. The only downside is we dont have a private toilet/ shower room. Maybe if you travel with group this is okay because you dont mind sharing with your group. We have kids so its kinda difficult when we dont have our private toilet. It was my fault because i didnt read that the toilet facilities are sharedGuest review byKathleenUnited Arab Emirates - 10.0

Duncannon is a beautiful village on the South Coast with a beautiful sandy beach. It is ideally located to explore the area with both Waterford and Wexford only a short drive away. Hook Lighthouse is 20 minutes away by car and is a must for anyone visiting the area.Guest review byFr SeanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

It's quite central and a good location to get to other parts of Wexford and Waterford. Pretty location by the sea with good accommodation such as the Marsh Mere Lodge and the Kings Head pub providing a good evening meal. Visiting The Hook and it's famous lighthouse, Booley Bay and other stopping off sites is a very pleasant drive from Arthurstown.Guest review byRebeccaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Great, friendly, staff. Great Cráic at the bar.
Great, friendly, staff. Great Cráic at the bar. N8ce music at bar. Lovely atmosphere throughout facility. One blip was, a wet towel left by previous guests was still hanging on hook behind bathroom door. Cleaning staff need to check the hooks behind doors when cleaning bathroom area. Didn't upset me really. The overall stay was top class and I will be returning.Guest review byPATRICK JIreland - 10.0

Wexford town was lovely to stroll around, we dined in two lovely restaurants with top quality food and exceptional service. I found people genuinely friendly and helpful throughout and happy to engage and recommend where to go over the weekend. We hit upon some great live music with David Clarke and Charles Byrd in Maggie Mays definitely worth a mention, and managed a sea swim in beautiful curracloe to top it all off.Guest review byaineIreland
