The beach and the sea in Le Morne are magnificent. We liked very much the variety of restaurants in the hotel, the friendliness of the management team and personnel as well as the selection and quality of food. We've stayed there multiple times and will for sure go back.

I loved the room with pool view. It was cosy, comfy bed, great AC and fridge. I was happy about the mosquito net, but we did not need to use it because the electrical repellant worked perfectly. Breakfast was excellent and we were also satisfied with the dinner. The live music in the evening was great. The staff were very friendly. The hotel is on a great location, the sunsets from the beach are beautiful. The roof pool and the main pool are great. We used the bus to go to Flic en Flac beach. A local told us the could go across the river to the Flic en Flac beach but we were not sure. We would come back to the hotel.

I could not have wished for better hosts. Nothing was too much for them both. They have a lovely family and work very hard keeping the guests looked after. They went out of their way to do a little shopping for us before we arrived for essentials etc. Tea - Coffee Milk and snacks etc. The balcony area was really cosy and the gardens below well maintained with sub-tropical plants etc. Had a wonderful stay and a big thank-you to the family x

Our stay at this lodge was nothing short of a fairy tale come to life. We had an absolutely enchanting experience here during our honeymoon! Nestled amidst lush greenery, it was the perfect romantic retreat. Waking up to the gentle symphony of birdsong every morning added a touch of magic to our stay. The villas were beyond excellent – spacious, elegantly designed, and with all the amenities one could wish for. But what truly made our stay exceptional was the warmth and hospitality of the staff. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel like family, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. After a disappointing experience at another accommodation in the north, we decided to return to this lodge for a few additional nights. And we're so glad we did! The staff welcomed us back with open arms and even upgraded us to another villa at the same price as our initial one. Their generosity and commitment to guest satisfaction truly set them apart. We also want to give a special shoutout to Allen, the cab driver recommended by the lodge. His insights and recommendations transformed each trip around the island into a personalized adventure. His knowledge of the area and friendly demeanor made us feel like we were exploring with a trusted friend rather than just a driver. You can reach him out at Emt: 57331114 or Orange: 57588868. Overall, our time at this lodge exceeded all expectations. We couldn't have asked for a more idyllic setting or attentive service. It's a place we'll always hold dear in our hearts and eagerly recommend to anyone seeking a truly unforgettable getaway.

Walking on the beach was fun, and the water allowed easy swimming even for the not-so-strong swimmer. The food carts added restaurant variety. We had good meals at Bouganvillea and Chez Pepe, but also enjoyed eating in and watching the sunset. Lovely shopping, interesting people, and the public bus service worked for us. However, it was interesting that the same trip was free outbound and then cost 100 rupees (3 people) for the return trip (with no tickets issued).

Tu beach is just amazing, the color of the water is impressive, in the public beach you have to possibility to see the see turtles. The place is a piece of paradise. Definitely worth to go and to spend some time there. I would recommend an hotel next to the le Morne beach most of the hotel do not have the possibility to eat or rent the sun bed just daily. Also I would recommend the experience of swimming with the dolphins that is offered almost everywhere.

It's a properly rustic paradise area, away from the more fabricated hotel resorts. Lots of locals who know one another and it feels safe, if a little rough around the edges. It has its own cultural and geographical charm that seems to differentiate it from other parts of Mauritius. Lots of places to eat, a good supermarket - seems expensive for the area, but I think this is quite common. Good offers of boat hire to get over to Ile aux Benitiers, which is well worth it. Close proximity to the lovely Morne peninsular and Black River Gorges National Park and surrounds.

We liked the area close to the Riviere Noire Reserve and it was convenient for the quieter beaches on the south coast. We recommend a guided tour of the Ebony Forest Reserve. We had a fascinating day out with a very knowledgeable guide and saw a lot of birdlife; the views out to sea are also stunning. Be warned: driving in Mauritius is not easy, even with satnav! We got lost several times, especially around Port Louis. If you choose to go to Port Louis, we recommend using the local bus. There is a bus stop two minutes' walk from the apartment (shortly before London Way supermarket). You can pick up a bus at about 7.30 am and return on a 119 bus at 30 minutes past the hour from Immigration Square near the waterfront of Port Louis. If you want to eat out, the Happy Rajah restaurant on the main road serves good value Indian food. The fish thali is particularly tasty.

Sure La Preneuse is the nearest beach, though If you're looking for the best beaches around, take that trip to Le Morne beach, it's worth it. We went to the only Thai restaurant in the area,'Ousaporn', indeed an oasis in that small town, great Deco, felt right, the staffs were admirable, the food was succulent but portion were quite small disproportionately over-priced . A day at the beach at Flic en flac is worth the tour, watch the sun set into the deep sea, then hit one of the restaurant around the area.

this is amazing place, the view is breathtaking, the chalet is spacious, very calm, the food is satisfying and the staff is very supportive and helping. it is ideal for a short stay as if you would like to do more tours the location is bit far from everything and very challenging to reach. the best is to stay there and visit the nearby places around Chamarel.

Albion is a Mauritian village , located on the West Coast off the beaten track & away from the tourist holiday hot spots. There is a local palm shaded beach with toilets & changing facilities, to enjoy safe swimming & magnificent sunsets. Food & other supplies are available at the local Albion Mall Dodo Supermarket Living with the local Mauritians enhanced our holiday experience as we got the know some of these friendly and gentle people. You will need a hire car and Google Maps to get around

Flic'en'Flac is the best place to stay on Mauritius, especially if you're visiting Mauritius in July. North was windy, south rainy but west side just perfect. It is a nice, vaste sandy beach with pine trees and palm trees, nice hotels and resorts, bars, restaurants and street food.

Financial exploitation is the title of this hotel.

Financial exploitation is the title of this hotel. Financial exploitation defines the taxi drivers. Financial exploitation dominates the boat rental services. Financial exploitation extends even to the zoo. Exploitation is the main theme, and as a city, it offers nothing enjoyable.

La Gaulette does not have a beach and the sea there is ugly. Le Morne (which is very close) is the only place nearby with a nice beach, but it is widely occupied by luxury hotels. another problem with La Gaulette is that it is not usable as a base for visiting Mauritius, becasue is far away from all main attractions except 7 color earth and Black River falls.
