I'm lucky and surprised to have my room upgraded to double bed room from a single dorm bed since I'm a solo traveler. So nice, warm welcome and friendly staff hospitality throughout my 2 nights stay. A nice place to retreat and healing recharge from the daily hectic life in town. Recommended for travelers who need a calm and relaxing holidays.

This was one of the best hotel stays I've had in all my years of travel. The hotel is towards the end of the waterfront so it is centrally located. Easy to walk around to all of the downtown attractions, including the outstanding Borneo Culture Museum. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. It is extremely affordable. The breakfasts were large and had some of the best laksa I ate in Kuching. The very best part was the incredible staff, from the front desk to the driver to the wait staff. Akmal, Danielle, Rizal, Ana, and Valentino took care of my every need and we had fun talking and learning from each other. The manager knew me by sight from the beginning of my stay and made sure that I got what I needed. If every stay at a hotel were this good, we wouldn't live at home.

    The Marian is full of character, being an old colonial style building, and our King room, overlooking the pool, had its own balcony area (lovely to sit and watch the birds in the garden), good air con and efficient shower in the bathroom. The pool and area around it is great. The staff in reception were friendly, efficient and extremely helpful. The hotel is situated very close to the water front, craft stores, Carpenter Street and quite near to a shopping mall. We would have liked to have stayed longer. The “roti canai” at the Indian restaurant near the Harmony Arch is super. Don’t miss the coloured lights and water fountains on the river at 8:30pm. You can watch them whilst having a beer at the James Brooke Restaurant.

    Combination of classic/old town and modern living. The best thing in Sibu for me is the variety of food that you can have with cheap price! Of course my favorite is the Kampua Mee. If you love shopping, there's lot of shops where you can buy things for low price. But of course, the Sibu Night Market is the most attractive place for me.

    Bintulu town is a great place to visit.

    Bintulu town is a great place to visit. Been to the local beach in the evening after the visit to the Tumbina park. Few good malls we visited n did a bit shopping. Nice restaurants around town n not difficult to find them while driving around. Would like to stay at Similajau National Park once the park is open for overnight stay.

    Our visit to Santubong was a peaceful escape into nature’s beauty. Surrounded by lush green hills and set against the South China Sea, the area offers breathtaking views—especially during sunset at Damai Beach. The calm waves, golden skies, and majestic silhouette of Mount Santubong made it a perfect spot for reflection and photography. While we enjoyed the stunning scenery and relaxing atmosphere, some parts of the beach and resort surroundings could benefit from better maintenance to preserve the natural charm. Still, Santubong remains a wonderful destination for those who appreciate quiet moments, nature, and beautiful coastal landscapes.

    Small fishing village.

    Small fishing village. the beach at Roxy Beach Hotel (Canopy and Villa) was beautiful. But there is a sign warning people to swim at your own risk (because of jelly fish). I think one day overnight stay is suffix. Take the opportunity to drive further west to visit Kampong Teluk Melano - it is just about 1/2 hour drive away.

    Each cave is different from another and rides to get to them on the long boats added interest and anticipation of what we would find. The Park is very organised with some guides offering more information than others. We are in our 60s, and were able to cover 3 cave excursions in the one and a half days we were there...unforgettable!

A small big city, easy to capture and take around, beautiful walks by Sarawak River, beautifully illuminated evenings and totally awesome night market with food to die for! Street following shore is full of shops, selling genuine handicrafts for a dime. get aquinted with the rich culture and handicrafts of the local tribes. Please do get in contact with locals, local culture and art! Enjoy the friendliness and hospitality. This is the very city where I felt I am far away from home, yet I felt home, welcome. Food to die for. Visit Campung Boyan, eat by local food markets, take a TAMPANG across or along the river, costs a dime. I warmly recommend Kutching!

    I love the setting of the township and residential area. The Time Square and The Mariner is a sweet and splendid area and worth the value of time spent. The Canada Hill is always be my favourite spot to watch the sunset and spend my time chatting with my spouse.
