This is a beautiful history place family owned. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. A great sense of hospitality.

Perfect location, right in the center, also close to public transportation. There is a parking garage next to the hotel, where parking is very easy and comfortable, but accordingly also rather pricey. Breakfast was extremely good, offering a wide range of warm and cold dishes. We really enjoyed the views from the glass-walled sauna on top of the hotel. Beds were comfortable.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel! The absolute highlight was the breathtaking view of the fjord from our window—truly unforgettable and worth the trip in itself. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, and the staff were consistently friendly and attentive. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, offering a great variety beyond the traditional options. Alongside eggs, sausages, and beans, they even served IKEA-style meatballs, which added a fun and unexpected touch. The surrounding area is gorgeous, and we highly recommend exploring the nearby hiking trails—it was well worth the effort. Overall, a fantastic experience that we’d happily repeat!

We visited in April. The view was breathtaking, the swimming pool and tennis area are a big plus with kids. Diner and breakfast were very tasty. Our 6 year old boy enjoyed kids buffet at diner. I would really recommend this place.

Loved the charm and character of the building and its location. Superb view of the fjord and the beautiful town. Staff very friendly and co-operative, and while I appreciate that we chose to be in the older part of the building, there could have been an offer to carry bags for older visitors.

This is the best hotel during our 2 weeks Norway trip at this price. Free parking, clean and comfortable, delicious and good variety of choice for breakfast.
