Skyport Villa is an absolutely amazing place to stay! The house is spotlessly clean, tidy, and incredibly comfortable. Free coffee and tea are included, which is such a thoughtful touch. It has everything you need to feel at home and truly relax.
The location is perfect—ideal for trips to Stone Town and extremely convenient for airport transfers. I absolutely loved my stay here and will definitely visit again. Highly recommend!❤️✨

The location was ideal and because it's a gated community, there is access to restaurants, including one that is near the beachfront/ reef coral. Across this street when you get out of the gated community, there is a mall, and you can do some shopping at the supermarket and dine at another restaurant next to a coffee shop. The location is really convenient.
Fumba town gives you a chance to also live like a local, and it's easy to meet other foreigners there who can give you more information on how to go about seeing different places. We met so many other foreigners who actually lived there, ate with them, socialized with them, and got recommendations from them. The hosts checked up on us and we're easy to contact.

Clean and comfortable; working AC and WiFi; big TV with Netflix and YouTube, working oven stove for cooking. Walking access to ATM, coffee shop, mexican restaurant, swahili restaurant and Kwetu Kwenu cafe for breakfast. Kwetu Kwenu Chill is a vibe at night with great food, music and a pool table, right on the ocean. Great place to relax and unwind.

Genial - only 5 min away from the airport by taxi! Recommndable, if your plane is leaving in the morning. You have no stress that there might be a traffic jam, if you stayed in a more remote part of Zanzibar.

It is the gateway to Zanzibar when you had an early morning, late night or even a long flight just to relax. The establishments are helpful and so are the locals. You can take a cheaper Tuktuk or more expensive private taxi, spend about 20 minutes to Stone Town where you will be able to do many tours at or from. If you have never been on a Tuktuk it could be an opportunity to have a time of your life bumping and breaking as it pass thorough traffic. You also can choose to rent a car if you willing to drive there. Just remember that most roads are small and speed limit is lower than other countries. While you there, there are motorcycles, pedestrians, tuktuks and other cars that buzz everywhere, if you choose to rent a car. The wind from the open top part of the doors in refreshing. Note that the locals may not speak English as good as you, so speak slower and clearly. They are very helpful. There are supermarkets, restaurants, accommodations in different styles in Kiembi Samaki.
You can book tours directly from there to other areas. Though I would advise to go further inwards the country once you are done with sightseeing. Then book a night just before your flight so that you are closer to the airport.
I used a supermarket on the main road (Nyerere) to buy supplies. It is next to a Last Minute Safari offices. Just next to it there is a Hotel with restaurant. I used a mixture of Tuktuk and private taxi to commute. Make sure you have Tanzanian Shilling to be able to use around. Take the name of establishment, street and landmarks should you use a tuktuk so that you can explain when you come back.
lastly, relax because Zanzibar is a very safe place. ofcourse caution is needed, but not like in many countries.
