- From US$114.73 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 412 reviewsThe Chalet was perfect and had everything we required. The best part was the braai station, right outside, with plenty of wood available. The surroundings were beautiful and tranquil, and we saw many zebras and other bucks walking around. The on-site restaurant had really great food and drinks. If you'd like to self cater, the kitchen is well set up. All you need is the groceries and braai meat to see you through your stay. Accessing shops once you are there is not an easy trip, as the lodge is truly in the middle of nowhere... which is wonderful.Guest review bySUMONAUnited Arab Emirates
- From US$106.12 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 298 reviewsA feeling that can only be described as Christmas morning as a child but within the trees at 40yrs of age😉 Loved every minute of our stay, so much that we stayed an extra night! The hospitality and staff were exceptional. I can not recommend this place enough. We will most definitely be returning next year. Thanks to top man Anthony and his beautiful family for making our stay unforgettable. Guys, You need to come here. The flora and fauna at Teniqua Treetops is next level👌 A true nature lovers paradise ❤️Guest review byMichaelIreland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 487 reviewsPerfect Safari experience on the private game reserve. We nearly saw all of the Big 5 and many other animals. The animals are in general very relaxed because Sanbona is a non profit organization and therefore the pressure on the animals is held on a low level with limited people and trucks. The ranger was well educated and taught us many interesting things. The tented lodge was very beautiful. Highly recommendable!Guest review bygeri85Austria
- From US$85.76 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 388 reviewsLovely welcome by the two owners, Andy and Penny and their staff. Andrea showed us through the vineyard to our cottage. We were overwhelmed by the nice cottage, the plunge pool, together with the stunning surroundings. Penny had meticulously picked out the dinner menus for the two nights we stayed, and the wines from their proper production were top-notch. We can warmly recommend Mymering to friends and family!Guest review byErikaBelgium
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 307 reviewsThis guesthouse has a beautiful pool area with nice views. Upon entrance, there are ostriches (behind a fence) greeting you. The property lies next to a road, but there is almost no traffic, so it’s not disturbing. Staff is wonderful (especially Mr Superman John). If in Oudtshoorn, I would definitely recommend this stay, allowing you to do an ostrich farm tour on the property and to relax by the pool.Guest review byPieter-JanBelgium
- From US$126.20 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 780 reviewsThe accommodation was clean, neat and well appointed. The breakfast spread was excellent with a big variety to choose from. The restaurant was the cherry on top. It has a lovely atmosphere, and the food was top notch. The ostrich burgers were huge! The location is excellent, not too far from Oudtshoorn and close enough to numerous attractions.Guest review byIanNew Zealand

Unfortunately, we were there on a Monday and most restaurants close at 17:00 on a Monday. However, our host recommended we have dinner at the Karoo Art Hotel with a choice of fine dining or pub dinner. We choose pub dinner, which was delicious. Beautiful trail walks can be found around the farms. All-in-all a wonderful trip.Guest review byvan Zyl - 6.0

On arrival, we were greeted by overflowing sewers pouring out into the main road. Smelt so bad, we could not go near the liquor store near the main road. Apart from that issue, the rest of the town was great.Guest review byDouglasSouth Africa - 10

We should have called the farm manager from Barrydale, because when we arrived at the locked farm gate, we found there was no reception. We couldn't reach him, and it was soon getting dark, so we had to keep driving until we got signal again, which only took five minutes. Wann, the manager, was soon there and opened the gate to paradise for us... remote, behind two other farms, we were able to spend comfortable days in this Karoo resort. Wann was always available, and one evening his wife cooked us a delicious meal. A river, a hot tub, an ice bath, peace and quiet, and an endless sky—what more could you want? This is the place to be for anyone needing a break. For more romance, under the stars, bring candles and reading lamps.Guest review byIsabellaSouth Africa - 10

Uniondale was the centre point of our journey distance wise - so convenient . Also we had not been there before so it made an interesting stop over. Scenery was stunning and the road excellent. Hotel built in 1832 (I understand). Uniondale is about 14 kms off main road and entry and exit are through two mountain passes which were most attractive.Guest review byChristopherSouth Africa - 8.0

From the main road it looks like just another dusty deserted Karoo town. What a pleasant surprise on turning off into the little town. We had a superb breakfast at @Stuff and met some interesting locals. The town is experiencing a resurgence and is intersting, well maintained and spotlessly clean.Guest review byRobynSouth Africa - 10
