Everyone was very kind, both in reception and in the restaurant. When I arrived they had made an effort to prepare everything for me in English, as well as ask a bilingual receptionist to check me in. As soon as they realised I was able to understand Japanese they switched to Japanese which was great to practice my language skills, but I can imagine that a non Japanese speaker would be completely fine! The onsens are exceptional, and the food is so fresh and delicious. I keep coming back ^^ This is my fourth trip here!

We loved the traditional Japanese feel of accomodation whilst having an abundance of modern amenities (bathroom amenities, replacement towels and bottled water, hairdryer, curler and straightener, coffee and kettle, mini fridge). The accommodation was very clean and well maintained and our party of 4 (two adults and two teenage boys) enjoyed being the only guests. Use of the sauna was lovely of an evening during the winter and having breakfast included in the lovely modern restaurant downstairs was a great - the choice of either western or Japanese breakfast suited out teenage boys and both options were lovely. The location is close to the local electric rail station and walking distance to an abundance of cafe’s, restaurants and shops as well as the Great Buddha, Hasedera Temple, Goryo Shrine and of course the beach. We loved being immersed in the local neighbourhood whilst being so close to all of the above. The staff were all friendly and attentive would we highly recommend this accommodation.

A good size room with sufficient facilities. We only brought 1 mid-size suitcase to share but the room has sufficient space to accommodate at least another 2 huge suitcases. The hotel lobby is quite small but they do offer free coffee, and take your own amenities kit. Check-in and check-out was a breeze.

The location was perfect. Such a good place, and for so cheap! The morning breakfast was delicious!

Beautiful room in a nice location. The in-suite private onsen and room layout were very well thought out. Plenty of great options for food nearby and a relatively quiet and low-traffic area.

Kamakura COCON features a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 1.5 km of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine and 20 km of Sankeien.

The hotel was wonderful, we couldn‘t wish for more. The staff was very attentive and helped us with everything. They even picked us up and brought us back to the train station and drove us to a nearby sightseeing spot without extra charge. The food was delicious and the service was excellent! I loved a lot about this place. I had never slept on a traditional Japanese futon before so I was a bit apprehensive but found it to be very comfortable. The private onsen was amazing too and a great way to relax after running around Enoshima all day. I really loved the breakfast too, it was amazing! The area around the hotel is very peaceful and quiet; the only sounds I really heard at night were the sounds of the train going by. Overall a really lovely place to stay and one I would book again.
