Even after reading all the previous, raving reviews, we were still very positively surprised - the apartment really has more than everything we could possibly need. Another “magical” plus, even with self-check in & out (by definition cold and person-less), Lucy somehow made it have a human touch. It was just INCREDIBLE!! The hosts are really nice and have this cute, very random but unique store and coffee shop on site :) The bedroom is big with a kitchen on side. Everything is clean and the beds were comfy. From the terrace of the hotel you’ve got a view over the sea with a perfect sunset location! Would come back anytime ☺️

We have been travelling in Iceland for 3 weeks and have stayed in some outstanding (plus a couple of not quite outstanding) accommodations. The Lake House is by far our favourite. The view from the conservatory and the deck were exceptional. We decided to take a ‘rest day’ here to just enjoy the view, the peace and the hot pot. It was great having access to coffee, herbs and spices left by the owners to use in our meal prep. Access was very easy with the lockbox. The heating was already on for us which was greatly appreciated. Btw I loved the swans in the pond. 😂

We totally enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage in the remote woods of Borganes. The apartment is so serene & secluded, very clean. and We did not get the chance to use the hot tub. We enjoyed a clear view of the Northern Lights from the balcony of the cottage for a least an hour & took lots of photos. The host is very nice and helpful with all information and directions. We plan to come back to this area and stay at this cottage again. They have 3 bedrooms (2 in the ground floor and 1 on the attic), 1 bathroom, 1 living room, 1 kitchen and an outdoor hot tub. Totally well stocked & equipped and has everything we needed to cook family dinner.
