I have absolutely nothing bad to say about our stay in the Hengifoss lodge. It's a dream to stay here. Once entered you're greeted by the warm smell of ember caused by the wood that was used to make this house. The colours and the layout of the room is incredibly cosy. The fireplace keeps the house (almost too) warm, and the window + terrace give an exceptional view over the lake and mountains. The hosts are also amazing and gave us the feeling that we're not only welcome, but also that they really understand why we chose to go to Iceland. We asked for help with our fireplace and the host, Isabelle, came to the rescue. She tried to help us to lit a fire but to no avail. We did however have a really good conversation. However when she left, we were content enough. Yet still she knocked on the door and winked us to come over. She told us enthusiastically that the Northern Lights were dancing and fully visible, we had to come outside! The next morning it was kind of raining, a little bit. But the sun was also shining through the clouds. The husband, Steff, called me when I was standing on the terrace. He said: "There is a rainbow there!" and pointed towards slightly behind the house I was standing in front of. I walked to the side and indeed saw a beautiful rainbow. This might not say much to other people wanting to stay there. But to me it feels like these people have such a connection with Iceland, its beauty and understand that we are there for the same connection, they told us to look at beautiful views which Iceland offers, and we were delighted to follow their guidance. Thank you Isabelle and Steff, for the warm welcome. Whenever we're in Iceland and planning to go near Eggs, we will definitely make use of your beautiful little houses.

Hengifosslodge Skáldahús tiene vistas al lago, wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. Está en Egilsstadir, a 5,9 km de Cascada Hengifoss. Hermoso complejo. Hermoso lugar para ver auroras! Nos avisaron cuando estaban. No hay tanta luz en el complejo asiq es espectacular para eso. Camas cómodas. La vista increíble.

Greystone summerhouse dispone de vistas a la montaña, wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. Se encuentra en Egilsstadir, a 37 km de Cascada Hengifoss. Esta cabaña es hermosa, súper cómoda! Tiene todo lo necesario, ubicada en un espacio abierto que posibilita ver auroras. La recomiendo!

Skipalaekur Farm Apartments dispone de vistas a la montaña, wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. Está en Egilsstadir, a 32 km de Cascada Hengifoss. Apto- studio confortable, limpio y bien equipado para una cómoda estadía. La ubicacion tranquila del otro lado del puente o sea un ambiente mas rural , agradable.

Hjartarstaðir Guesthouse dispone de vistas al río, wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. Se encuentra en Eiðar, a 37 km de Gufu Waterfall. Very nice and comfortable...very quiet and in a perfect location. Nice view from the windows.

Starmýri 2 Cottages tiene vistas a la montaña, se encuentra en Starmýri y ofrece wifi gratis. What a beautiful location and perfect little cottage. It fit our family of four perfectly and had all we needed. We loved our stay here and would stay again.

Dúlluhús - Apartments by Aldan tiene vistas al mar, wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. Está en Seyðisfjörður, a 3,7 km de Gufu Waterfall. Very nice house in the heart of the fjords, well furnished (washing and dry machine were super helpful) and cozy. Everything great.

Lagarfell Studios está en Egilsstadir, a 37 km de Cascada Hengifoss, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis y terraza. Spacious room with kitchen facilities. Warm and comfortable. Having the use of a washing machine was a bonus. Location was great base for the area.
