They really made you feel as if you were a part of their family and took time out of their day to show me around the area and drive me to many different areas all while having really nice conversations.

The hotel is 5 minutes from the bus station, with connections to the main cities and to the Kamikoche park. Overall, highly recommended.

Reopened after renovation in 2022, Auberge Hidanomori is situated in quiet hills, a 10-minute shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station. The property offers free WiFi access in rooms and in public areas including the shared TV lounge and the terrace. The food and service were both amazing! Thank you so much. We had an amazing stay. One of the very few places we will come back to after 33 days in Japan

Offering traditional Japanese-style accommodation with spacious public baths, Yatsusankan Over 6 years old is a 6-minute walk from JR Hidafurukawa Train Station. WiFi is accessible at public areas for free, while the private-use hot spring bath is available at a surcharge. We absolutely loved our stay here, traveling as a group of 3 friends from Finland. From the very first moment we felt more than welcomed - all of the staff guiding us forward and taking our luggage to our room and everything. I would absolutely love to come here again.
