The staff were amazing, super quick and seemed happy at work despite the obvious stress of hospitality work. The room service was great and not as overpriced as you'd expect from such a refined looking, sleek hotel. It had a lot of personality, great beds and I'm gutted we didn't have time to hit the pool and spa :(

Waldorf Edinburgh is for when you want to have that historic, grandiose experience and ambience, with the conveniece of being just within a good stone-throw disance from the Edinburgh Castle. I love that hint of smell of aged wood and old luxury, while at the same time the premises being pefectly up-kept and contemproary, clean and othwerise suited for the modern comfort. The staff was, as expected, very professional, welcoming, kind and helpful. The breakfast was in a lovely and luxurious setting, delicious, and serviced. The coctails served to us by Melony at the bar were a delicious, mind-blowing experience (don't miss it!). The Spa area with the rather big swimming pool, a steamroom and a sauna was also rather big, pleasant, and not busy at all - just as I like it. All in all, we loved it.

Arrived at reception to big smiles and a warm welcome. I was too early for check in but wanted to meet friends for brunch - reception personally went to a floor to check with housekeeping if a double room was free, there was I was so grateful for this unexpected service. I went into my room and pleasantly surprised to see such a big bed! 6ft wide, plenty! Room and bathroom spotless. Beautiful large wardrobe with plenty of hangers. Tea, coffee, biscuits. Lots of different types of lights for the right ambience. Slept really well, had a huge bubble bath in the morning and left refreshed and happy at 11am. Easy check out, lots more smiles and would absolutely recommend to anyone.
