A great location but in the mountain sharply so we were driving a car and got complications in the evening cause buses and other cars come up and down so … but the rest was perfect - a good terrace with Mountain View , very hospitable owners, great breakfast and all what we need as toiletries , towels , separate kitchen . I recommend this place to stay

What a scenic view from the balcony! A little bit outside of Ella, so really quiet. Perfect room, tasty breakfast served on our balcony. Hosts were so genuinely nice and even helped me out with special care after I got food poisoning. They really went beyond to make sure we had a great stay.

The customer service was excellent in the Tea Cabins. If we required anything at all (food, taxi etc) all we had to do was text and it was organised for us very promptly! Our room was ready earlier than check in which was great for us. The cabin so very clean and well looked after. We absolutely loved our stay here. Staff gave great suggestions on places to eat and things to do. The location is a little bit out of Ella but a free tuk tuk was provided anytime we wanted to go. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Beatiful and peaceful place in the nature. You can hear many kinds of birds and see monkeys.. Sithu and Kalpana are 2 sisters, they are so kind and helpful. They organised tuk tuk for us(good price). Communication via WhatsApp was great. We had very tasty breakfast and dinner there. The room was clean and comfy. Ella town is nearby(you can go for a walk or use tuk tuk). It's really nice place and nice family. Thank you for everything and we hope to see you again.

Everything was amazing, the view was unbelievable and the staff were all so lovely. Namal was so helpful and was there for anything we needed during our stay. Would recommend walaa kulu to everyone! Breakfast in particular was outstanding. Thank you again for having us!

We had a truly wonderful stay at Nature Lodge Bandarawela! The place exceeded our expectations in every way. It’s a perfect home away from home with everything thoughtfully provided. The lodge comes with a fully equipped kitchen—complete with kitchenware, spices, and all the essentials, making it easy and convenient to prepare meals. There’s a cozy living area with a TV, fridge, and a comfortable sofa bed, ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring. The bedroom is spacious, featuring a double bed and a bunk bed, perfect for couples, families or groups. The bathroom has hot water, and the entire property is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. A special thanks to Mr. Lal, who made our stay extra special. Every morning, he served a delicious breakfast right on time, and was always kind, helpful, and ready to assist with anything we needed. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and we truly appreciated the peace of mind provided by the CCTV cameras around the property—it's very secure, so there’s no need to worry. Rustic Cottage is a tree house paradise nestled into the quieter side streets of Ella. The host family are wonderful and looked after me so well. The accommodation itself is one of a kind, the bathroom is one of a kind, and the whole place is very unique. The views are amazing and the breakfast too! I'd 100% recommend you stay here.

This place really blew our mind ! at start we didn't know we had to hike down the place to reach the room , quite scared at first but when we saw the view my God !! everything was just worth it ! The host ,the family were the sweetest , we stayed there for 3 days and we felt we were staying with a family. On our second day the pipeline broke due to sand erosion but the family late at night fixed it up by themselves. This you don't even see in any 5 star hotels. Tuk tusk would climb up the hill to reach us to our room and were easily available. Go to this place if you are looking for adventure and peace, if you are someone who loves luxury this place isn't for you. But it's one of a kind experience. You also need to be physically fit to climb up and down to the room and also carry some salt or Leech repellents since there are leeches since its closer to the waterfall.
