I was very disappointed with Wrexham.
I was very disappointed with Wrexham. Many empty shops and most car parks payable by app only. I visited St Mary's Cathedral and had a warm welcome from staff there. This was the high point of a disappointing visit. Unlikely to visit again

We were visiting family who live close to Wrexham, we did not visit around the town as we have done that on previous visits. We have tried a number of reasonably priced accommodations in the Wrexham are, but on both occasions have had disturbed stays due to noisy local residents. If you are visiting Wrexham and not partaking in the extremely loud night life or venues then you will need to avoid the town area and move out beyond the town boundary in order to find a quieter accommodation.

Town Centre was fun to explore, especially on market days.
Town Centre was fun to explore, especially on market days. The city has a variety of grocery & other retail stores, as well as many restaurants & entertainment options. It offers access via roadways to other parts of North Wales and Cheshire & Shropshire in England.

Good pedestrianised town centre area, fantastic indoor bus station with a brilliant regular bus service, and the railway station nearby too makes it very easy to get around, with buses every 30 minutes to Llangollen and even more frequently to Chester. Buses are reasonably priced. Little to do in Wrecsam itself. Erddig Park National Trust is on the edge of the town.

Location in busy street, main car park reached through a tight gap only just big enough to get through, great for overnight accommodation food great staff great , room slightly on small side but very clean and comfortable
A lovely stay in such an idyllic location. John, the host, was so welcoming greeting us on arrival and available to contact during our stay if we had any questions. What John didn't tell us on arrival was in the welcome pack in our hut, filling us in on the site, local area, things to do and the history around us. We will be booking to come here again as there was quite a few bits we just didn't get time to see. Overall a lovely, relaxing stay with a comfortable, clean and cosy hut to stay in. Just perfect.
Cook's flat in a stunning location not too far from Wrexham town centre .
The flat was really well decorated and cosy . The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay and the washing machine was a welcome addition.
The bed room was a great size with a comfortable bed .
Loved the beauty of the grounds although we didn't explore too much and the Victorian kitchen was amazing. Like stepping back in time.
We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again
The best thing about the Wynnstay is the staff. I've stayed there on and off almost every other week for a year. To the point where they have learnt out names and us theirs.
Really good, professional and hard working good people. Assets to the hotel and the town.
Also location, location, location. AND free parking. Oh yes and...a banging breakfast although the chef might not want more people knowing about this 😂😂😂
We were greeted by John and checked in a little earlier as we arrived early, we were given a quick tour and then left to make ourselves at home. The Gin Palace is lovely inside, it has lots of quirky decorations on the walls and the log burning fire made the place feel homely at night, the bed was comfy and the surrounding areas were lovely to explore, we will definitely return again!
The area was quite calm, no cars.and a real dip into the countryside.
The Cottage was functional, great value for money and has most facilities you could need.
The heating works well, and the shower was fantastic.
The hosts go out of their way, to ensure you stay is perfect. They proved themselves very helpful and approachable.
Beautiful, big comfortable room and well appointed with fridge, coffee machine, kettle and breakfast items. The bathroom is excellent and the location is peaceful, yet connected to great countryside and close enough to Wrexham center. Friendly hosts also enhanced my stay.
The staff was warm, friendly, and accommodating. We enjoyed appetizers in the bar area for a very reasonable price! Only wish the portion of soup was slightly larger, but since it's technically part of a full meal I understand why it's small. It was absolutely delicious!
Great quiet location. lovely accommodation with living area, bed, wardrobe and en suite with shower. everything was exceptionally clean and the bed very comfortable. surroundings of the property are extremely peaceful and quite - perfect for a quiet restful time away.
Stayed overnight with my daughter location was good close to shops. Hotel decorated beautifully rooms clean and spacious. Staff very polite and welcoming on check in and at the bar . Would definitely visit again if I’m in the area .
We stayed in the Ascot Cottage. An exceptional hidden gem in a great location for exploring the area
The food and choice of drinks were great. Value for money is amazing.
Highly recommended, and we'll certainly be returning.
The whole experience at Hollies was amazing! We was so amazed by the property. The owners was so helpful & kind and the food was perfect! Honestly the place you need to stay if you are looking for somewhere in the area.
Hotel and room were lovely. Staff were so lovely and helpful. Great deal with breakfast. We also had lunch there both days. The Sunday dinner was exceptional and the sticky toffee pudding to die for.
North Wales is a lovely area We spent a lot of time in Llangollen which is only 12miles away. Good places to eat and things to do. It was nice to leave the hotel every morning!!
The food was of a decent standard. The dining room was very light and airey with plenty of light. The proximity to where i was working and also to Wrexham was very useful.
